Frequently asked questions
What style will be done to my hair? It really just depends on the event. Sometimes we're confirming you for a specific style and sometimes it can be anything (within your comfort level). The stylist will consult with you upon meeting and discuss what you're open to and style accordingly. We won't ever do anything you're not comfortable with.
Can I get color? It depends on the event. At some events, we have colorists available who can do color. Our colors are not neons. We have red, gold, copper, brown, black, Fuschia, or a combination of the above. We do not do double-process color at events or high-lift services like highlights, blondes, honey blondes, etc.
Do I have to get a haircut? Haircuts are only if you request them/want it. However, trims are required if you have severely damaged ends or if your hair hasn't been trimmed in more than 2-3 months. This is honestly for the health of the hair. Untrimmed ends cause split ends which will run up the hair shaft and make your hair thin and less full. We want to leave you with healthy hair.
Can I get extensions? We do not do extension services at our educational classes unless it's specifically listed. We can style commercial hair, extensions, micro links, faux locs, crochet hair, etc. but we will not do installations.
What do I wear? Attire is all-black for all of our events. Dress nice but comfortable. You don't have to be in something formal but please don't come in pajamas or sweatpants.
Do I need to be a professional model? Absolutely not. We take anybody and everybody. Our #1 requirement is that you have at least 3 inches of hair. Any size, any race, any nationality, any texture, any length of hair is welcome.
What time do I arrive? Where do I go? Who will the stylist be? All of this will come in the confirmation email that's sent to you. You'll receive the time, location, address, and a contact name and number.
